Is it Crow’s Nest or Outsider Comics?
We changed our name to Crow’s Nest Comics in November 2025, but legally we are still Outsider Comics LLC. No worries about deadnaming us though since corporations aren’t people. :3

Can we subscribe to, order, or preorder comics through you?
Yes, we do subscriptions and special orders at no additional cost to you (besides shipping, if you want things shipped).

Can I buy a comic you don’t have a stock and get instant satisfaction but also give you money?
Why yes, you can support us by selecting us as your bookstore on bookshop.org!

I want to give you money because I want to support a queer-owned local small business, but I don’t need any comic books. How can I give you money?
Come buy a book for Lambert House or Books to Prisoners Seattle, our non-profit partners! We have a special section in our store where you can purchase a book from their wishlists to either be sent to an incarcerated person or to be placed in a lending library for Seattle area queer, trans, and questioning youth. Not local? Send us an e-mail at info(at)crowsnest.quest and you can do that via our online invoicing system!

What’s your current masking policy?
Please see this page for full details.

Do you buy comics?
We don’t. We just don’t have the space or the specialty knowledge for it! Check out Ophelia’s Books and Twice Sold Tales if you want to sell hardcovers and trades; they may be buying! If you want to sell vintage comics or single issues, try Grumpy Old Man Comics in Ballard or Golden Age at Pike Place Market.

Do you do Magic the Gathering?
We are a part of the Wizards Play Network and host Magic the Gathering events (mostly commander, but also draft, prerelease, and sealed—see our event calendar for more!) and have both sealed product and singles, but we do not buy Magic singles at the moment.

Do you do store championships / RCQs?
We are a casual, social focused game store. If you’re looking for more competitive Magic play, especially in a queer-friendly environment, visit our friends at Phoenix Comics and Games in Capitol Hill.

Do you sell Pokemon, Flesh and Blood, Lorcana, etc?
We do sell Pokemon TCG, however as a shop that doesn’t focus on it our allocations are super low and we expect to get product only for the main/big set releases, and even then they tend to sell out quick. For other card games check out the POC/family-owned shop Tabletop Village in the ID.
