We’ll have copies of Goat Magic available for purchase! \n\n\n\nAbout Kate Wheeler\n\n\n\nKate Wheeler is a queer\, Seattle-born cartoonist who traded Pacific Northwest rain for the charming canals of Amsterdam\, where she lives with her partner. Her work has been featured in The Washington Post\, NPR\, and The Nib\, among others. \n\n\n\nAbout Goat Magic\n\n\n\nTrill\, a spirited goat herder with a unique ability to communicate with her flock\, yearns for a life beyond mountain pastures. Her “goat magic” feels common compared to the sorcery taught in the city’s prestigious magic schools\, which are off-limits to her. Meanwhile\, Princess Alya\, known as the “Ordinary Princess” and heir to the kingdom of Capeya\, doubts her own royal potential. \n\n\n\nTheir worlds collide when an assassination attempt on the queen leaves Alya cursed to transform into a black goat each sunrise. SUMMARY:COVID-Safer Commander Night
DESCRIPTION:KN 95 masks (or better\, including flomasks and respirators) are required for this event. We’ll also have an air purifier rated for 3x the size of the room running\, major surfaces disinfected prior to the event\, and provide a covered outdoor space for water / snack breaks. We do have and provide KN 95 masks if you need them!\nThis is our monthly open commander night! Come play some casual and friendly games EDH in a COVID-safer environment! Beginners are welcome—though we don’t have the capacity to teach from scratch we’re always happy to answer questions and support new players. A limited number of loaner decks and playmats are available as well. Games start as soon as we have a pod; come early and grab a spot since our space is small!\n\n—\n\nAt Outsider\, players generally focus on social play styles with decks in Brackets 1\, 2\, and 3. We don’t have a “house banlist”\, but we recommend that folks don’t bring decks that focus on stax\, land and resource denial\, or other “hey you don’t get to play Magic now” effects if you want to easily find a group to play with.

This format is wild and with the right commander choices it powers up some decks exponentially! \n\n\n\nAlso! If you sign in with your Wizards account you’ll get a free promo card while supplies last! \n\n\n\nPlease note that this is a semi-outdoor event! Because we’re a small store\, we’ll have room for 3 pods going on at once. We’ll be setting up 2 pods on our porch between 1 and 6\, and we’ll move those back indoors after the store “officially closes” at 6.
