Everybody is doing is so we are also doing a 2025 summary! We’ve compiled our bestselling comics in general and in several categories, and you can see them right after this paragraph because we’re bad at algorithms and not hiding the actual thing you probably came here for under 70,000 words of random text. But if you wanna read more about the categories and some of these comics in detail plus other fun facts that aren’t in the graphics you can… scroll further down? How does web site work???

Bestselling Comics (Overall)
- Bolero
- Saga Vol 12
- Stages of Rot
- Gender Queer
- Hello Sunshine
- Soma
- Lower Decks Warp Your Own Way
- Mooncakes Collector Edition
- Trans History
- Anzuelo (Hardcover)
It’s not surprising that Lower Decks: Warp Your Own Way is on the list given that we were at this year’s World Science Fiction Convention and it was the winner of the graphic Hugo. What is surprising is how high Mooncakes, Gender Queer, and Bolero remain on this list since they’ve been out for a while, though I guess Mooncakes in particular is literally our shop’s Vibe so it shouldn’t be that surprising!
Technically Anzuelo should be higher on the list if we count both hardcover and the very recently launched paperback, and Nimona should also be on the list if we combine both the anniversary edition and the regular edition, but math is hard.

Bestselling Comics (New in 2025)
- Saga Vol 12
- Hello Sunshine
- Trans History
- Nimona 10th Anniversary
- Helen of Wyndhorn
- The Fables of Erlking Wood
- S.I.R.
- Goat Magic
- The Prince in the Basement
- Pinky and Pepper Forever
While Saga is the bestselling release of 2025 in the year, local creator Keezy Young’s Hello Sunshine was our fastest selling comic in 2025! That’s actually super impressive since Saga came out right before Free Comic Book Day and yet Hello Sunshine still outsold it if we look at the first 2 weeks of release for each comic. Thanks for supporting local creators and comics about messy queer people!
Another cool thing about this list is that it contains The Fables of Erlking Wood! It’s tbh a lil’ pricey, being a hardcover from a small press, but folks really loved it and showed that good art is worth the price! I mean, it’s imo Juni Ba’s finest work yet, and one of the best works of modern folklore I’ve ever read. So yeah, it’s good.
Oh and I should mention S.I.R. is our bestselling sapphic comic!

Bestselling Comics (Kids and YA)
Kids
- Goat Magic
- Cat Story
- Mixed Up
Young Adult
On these lists we’re specifically only counting stuff specifically marketed as kids and YA, and not counting general stuff that are appropriate for kids or teens as well. For kids, it’s not surprising that Goat Magic is on top given that we hosted a launch event for it! Cat Story from Ursula Murray Husted is a perennial favorite being both about cats and art history, things that everyone enjoys. Finally we have Mixed Up, which I think is our bestselling comic parents specifically buy for kids which is awesome because Kami Garcia’s tale of a child’s struggles with dyslexia is both supportive and easy to get into.
For YA, it’s no surprise Harleen and Harley is on the list since it both features one of our community’s favorite characters and also tackles DID (dissociative identity disorder) in a great way. Girlmode is the surprise though, like I mean it’s great but it snuck up on us outta nowhere! People just steadily bought it over the year! (Though I guess we did sell quite a few of them at the Charlie’s Queer Books book fair in June…)

Bestselling NSFW Comics and Art Books
NSFW Comic
Art Books (SFW and NSFW)
- And They Were Monsters
- Cover Me Queer
- Dreaming Hour (Ryoko Rui)
Okay monster lovers, you win this one!
Silver Sprocket is a big winner here (and in general) with The Chromatic Fantasy and Adversary being our consistent top sellers. People really like to be gay and do crime! Nova and Mali, the editors and publisher of And They Were Monsters and Cover Me Queer (plus other art books), also top the art book list. Their queer tarot deck is getting shipped to us Soon and we can’t wait to get it!
Finally, we didn’t do a manga list because like, Delicious in Dungeon would just dominate it. This year finally saw the English release of Dunmeshi mangaka Ryoko Rui’s art book and it’s been flying off the shelves whenever we could get some in. It’s just real tasty, boss!
Here’s Some More Fun Facts!
Our bestselling sticker of 2025 was Be Goose Do Crimes followed by Assigned Cat at Birth. Wow y’all really like Crime!
We sold 150 d20s and 122 dice that aren’t d20s in 2025, in big part because of folks coming and buying d20s to give away at the Dimension 20 live show!
On our web site, 81 people donated books to Books to Prisoners and 34 to Lambert House! This doesn’t count direct purchases for them in store, but just online you’ve donated over $2500 of books this year! Plus you raised $2137 through our giveaway on Desert Bus for Hope!
This is The Big One
Our revenue went up by almost 20% year over year in 2025.
I’m not gonna say things are perfect and we paid off all our debt and everything is great, because they aren’t. But thanks to your support we are gonna keep sticking around and providing you with cool comics and, now that we’re in our new location, a growing community space.
Thank you so much for sticking around and supporting us in 2025. Here’s to a 2026 where everything may continue to be on fire but at least we’re in a cozy dumpster with kitty cats floating down the river of flames!
