Trans/it Joy: a Trans & Transit Celebration

Join us for a mini art market and fundraiser to celebrate trans joy and public transit on Sunday March 29th from noon to 6pm! For our first big event in our new location we’ll be hosting several local trans artists and raise funds for Seattle area trans run non-profits on the weekend of our local Sound Transit light rail station’s opening weekend r(only two blocks away omg).

Nonprofit Partners

Seattle’s Gender Justice League has been running Trans Pride Seattle, our favorite local pride event, for years. While the big pride events in Seattle have gotten more corporate, partnering with companies like Target and Amazon that barely cared about the queer community twenty years ago and have shown to abandon us as soon as the political winds change, Trans Pride remains powered by local groups and small businesses.

The Seattle Trans and Nonbinary Choral Ensemble is the Seattle area’s only trans and nonbinary community vocal group and both empowers trans singers in a tradition that’s heavily segregated by outdated gender norms and provides an avenue of trans joy and resilience for both performers and the public. They have also been organizing community outreach events like vaccine clinics and clothing swaps since their formation.

We invite you to come and learn about both these amazing community organizations! Chat with their representatives, learn how you can help their efforts, and donate to their cause!

Featured Artists and Musicians

We’re excited to host local trans artists RomeTwin, KamiDog, and Opalescent Eel at this mini art market! Expect Creatures, fish for your keys, old man yaoi and more awesome art available for purchase at the event from noon to 6!

Plus Assigned Gay at Band will be performing at around 2:30! 😀
