It’s back: Free Comic Book Day! This year it brings its legally distinct friend sponsored by rival distributor Comic Giveaway Day, and both FCBD and CGD will be happening on Saturday 5/2! That’s right: two free comic book days, on the same day! Hooray!
We will be once again participating in the best of comic book store traditions and here’s the details:
Date, Time, and Logistics
We’ll be open for FCBD/GCD on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 from Noon to 6PM at our new(ish, it’s been a few months) location at 831 Hiawatha Pl S, Seattle WA 98144.
As usual, masks will be required and provided, though we appreciate it if you bring your own. We’ll also have our doors open at least for the first half of the day for more air circulation.
Since we’re in a residential neighborhood parking can be harder to find, so we recommend taking public transit such as the new Link Light Rail 2 Line (we’re a 10 minute walk from the Judkins Park station; use the Rainier Ave exit).

Bold titles are all ages / kid-friendly.
To make sure folks get a chance to grab comics, we’ll be placing a 4 free comics per person limit from noon to 3PM. We may still impose a limit afterwards if we run low, but from the last few years we shouldn’t have limits after 3PM.

Plus we’ll be running a donation drive for comics for children of migrant farm workers in partnership with WashMasks. Come drop off gently read comics and graphic novels or purchase comics in the store for migrant children who could use some joy!
